Several monitoring devices currently exist to track the vital signs of NICU infants.

Devices like electrocardiogram (ECG) and pulse oximeters (blood oxygen saturation, SpO2) are designed to provide real-time data on heart rate and oxygen levels.

While these devices offer valuable insights, there remains a gap in addressing sleep apnea directly. The need for a proactive solution that actively assists infants in maintaining regular breathing patterns is evident.
